To reply vocally (below) to the subject of this thread. Nothing personal :).

Do not bet against UNLV. UNLV will most likely make more money on football ticket sales this next season than and other team in the MWC/PAC and could be pushing towards the two next highest ticket sales combined! Washington State season tickets range from $175-300; Oregon State tickets range from $226-411; UNLV season ticket price range from $195-2,650! UNLV also has the Wynn club area, which is a bar/restaurant at field level, that will most likely be used again for NIL funding. Las Vegas gives UNLV a huge advantage in regards to NIL money opportunities compared to other MWC/PAC teams.

UNLV is spending the money and setting themselves up to be in the right position for any future expansion. A big sign to show that UNLV is all in will be if in the next couple of days they fire Kruger for basketball and pay off the millions that it will cost to buy out his contract, as well as spend the money to upgrade the basketball coach?

They are a baseball school. Just beat my Cougs in a 2-game set. They are P4 bound for sure.

They are not.

Although if they did and left the rest of you guys behind I would laugh..Not at WSU but the USU coat tail riders who seem to think they were a part of the grand plan and not the fall back option when the AAC schools saud no.

Look - I've said it many times before over the last year-plus and will keep saying it. F-ing Teresa Gould (aka homely bitch) totally disregarded the obvious written reverse merger plan and F-ed both of our conferences.

The Pac-? is a joke. The MW is damaged more than badly. I'm telling you, it's not to late. The new Alaska Air Pac-Mtn 16/18 could still happen. But, we are ruled by bitches with egos and unresolved frustrations over not ever having had a guy like the Mighty Loyal Coug.

Now if cooler and smarter heads (I have 2 :) ) prevail, Gloria will take over the Pac-16/18 and will hire me as her "personal" assistant.

Not too late for you to join the MW and leave OSU behind.

We need a new name because there is no P4 it’s the P2, then ACC Big12 then G5. So what is ACC/Big12 called next two? N2
My guess.

It's going to be 1 mega conference/governing body with four regional pods.

Question is how many teams get the invite to it.

Too big you dilute the revenue. Too few, same thing, because you alienate a lot of fan bases who won't watch anymore.

What that number is, I don't know.

I like the thought of an East and West conference divided into regional divisions. Very similar to the NFL. IMO, it falls out to between 60 and 80 teams total.

100%

You do not want to get left out of this round of realingment.

I think around 80 is the right number. Keeps it streamlined enough that there's plenty of $ to go around without alienating too many fan bases.

Say it was 48, that's going to be a lot of disgruntled fan bases who may decide they are done with college football. That would impact viewership.

I don't think there is a media company that would be willing to pay for a monopoly. That's freaking expensive. Lets say the mouse bought it. Lets say Disney was willing to eat the cost of what would definitely be a loss; what is your outlet to the masses? ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN+. Disney also owns Fox, so lets include FS1 and FS2. That's 6 media channel outlets in total.

Football games at best are 3 hours a piece without commercials or anything funny happening. You can show 6 of them at one time (12 teams), and you can do this 4 times on a Saturday if you run them exactly every 3 hours per channel from 9am EST to 9pm EST.

If we're looking at 80 schools, you account for 12 schools per time block, or 48 schools on a Saturday. Are you really going to squish the remainder 32 schools into Friday? You'd have to go to the weekdays.

Which brands get delt the Epic ESPN Tuesday night NCAA action? Do you only keep the former big10 and sec schools Saturday only? Are you forcing teams to play at 3pm EST on a Friday? What does that do your for attendance? How much does your viewership on the west coast drop if a game is kicking off at noon PST?

Even on a Saturday, 1/3rd of your games will be on ESPNU and ESPN+. That's terrible for viewership numbers. Which 16 schools get delt the bad hand? Are you willing to subsidies the cost of these games equal to one on your main channels? Someone is losing money somewhere.

So you're left to dealing the additional games out to other networks. Sure. That's a reasonable solution. Networks trade games as it is. But if I am CBS, would I really pay top dollar for the leftovers? My branding isn't on it. Media companies do work together at times, but they're still competitors.

No doubt it would take multiple entities due to costs.. Similiar to How NFC/AFC are split between Fox and CBS.
