Attendance works it's way into every third thread so I wondered what reb netters think. What will it take to spur attendance?
Before Otz, I though the only way to immediate big time attendance was Pitino ( or another household name coach). Didn't happen. Another way would have been to have some huge nationally talked about recruits. Won't happen. ( Otz is not the coach who could have done that) Now, I accept there is no way to a really quick attendance turnaround. I think Otz is starting out right with vastly increased local presence at high schools/ other events. I believe he next has to schedule much more aggressively. Then he has to win.
We'll see a bigger crowd for the first few games to check out the new guy. But he needs to win, and do it by beating good teams, to get us back to larger crowds.
