They may not have been contacting coaching staffs if he already decided he wanted to play for coach Sanchez.

He was just offered by UNLV a couple weeks ago.

From what I could see, he has played well on the field but not really stood out. My guess is the reason he got 3 stars was his athleticism he showed last spring at camp: not exceptionally fast or agile, but his 37" vertical boosted his overall score.
