Then why post this now. If UNLV, still has to fill 2 spots later.

The maximum number is 15. But you can give fewer scholarships if desired.
As was often the case in the past (15 years or so) for the oft-MWC opponent used and rare UNLV-used Mid Year Transfer. (Roscoe? Khem? I think?)
I think they'll fill out the last 2 before season starts. I believe CJP said on @Jason Kelly podcast that they were waiting for the court case to settle as there was a few guys they wanted to bring in but couldn't. I expect they'll use those but it'll take some time to evaluate who is available. And it's not just UNLV, even schools like Kansas are struggling to finish filling out rosters
I think Che, Kimani, and Stephen will start.
In my opinion, the 2/3 spots are the most uncertain. If I had to guess, I'd say they'd go with Dra and Naas, making the starting lineup:
- Che
- Dra
- Naas
- Kimani
- Stephen
This could easily be wrong; this year is one of the harder years to project the starting lineup.
I think it’s too early, personally but I hope they get another big for backup purposes to avoid playing shorter guys out of position even for short periods of time as backups!

So does this mean 15 scholarship holders or can there be less?
Those who opt-in to the house settlement can only have up to 15 players on their roster. They can give all 15 players scholarships but they aren’t required to nor are they required to have 15 players on their roster.
Myles Che 6'3" - 190 lbs
Dravyn Gibbs-Lawhorn 6'1" - 185 lbs
Naas Cunningham 6'7" - 175 lbs
Kimani Hamilton 6'8" - 225 lbs
Emmanuel Stephen 7'0" - 230 lbs
Looks like there are two 6'9" players (Jacob Bannarbie and Tyrin Jones) and Ladji Dembele at 6'8" as possible big guys to spell Stephen. I'm curious to see who the guys are that step up this year.
Is Cunningham who is expected to be the best scorer this season?
I'm concerned that if this is our starting 5 then we will only make it to the FF and not win a natty.
I won't settle for a FF appearance!
I’d still like another big 6’10 or taller with some girth so shorter/smaller guys like Boone, 2 years ago, aren’t playing out of position to spell Stephen.
