2020 Recruiting Class

Unlike the Texas, Southern states & Midwest states, the West Coast has a smaller pool of colleges. Major offers are a good baseline on prospects but the lack of offers isn't a true gauge of lack of talent.
A good talent evaluator doesn't need an offer map to find prospects.

Will I get that. I'm not suggesting fewer offers necessarily equals less talent. I understand your point. Don't totally disagree.

I just like to see a player with multiple offers. It means they are drawing interest.

If SJSU signed a class of 20 players. And all of them had a 3* grade and all of them had only one offer from SJSU, wouldn't you be just a little skeptical about the grading process?

ASU DC Danny Gonzales, had an interesting quote in a press conference a few weeks back. He said with all the information out there, all the camps, all the HUDL tapes, social media etc..Its increasingly difficult to find 'hidden gems'. Especially with JC guys, but still applies to HS. The information is far more accessible than it ever has been.

Take the prospect from Alaska. He's a massive dude. Might have some real upside. But the level of football in Alaska isn't at the same level as here or AZ or California. He has an offer from UNLV and Idaho. He may develop into a very good player. But aren't you a little skeptical of him getting a 3* grade?
