Pan Am Games

Has anybody been watching the Pan Am Games? Looks like the USA has been sending B teams for most sports. Our (USA's) basketball team is a mix of college and pros, mostly overseas players from the pro side. They have been fun to watch so far with some interesting story lines. Rick Pitino is coaching the Puerto Rican team. Many of the players for the other countries' teams are playing or have played college ball in the states and the level of basketball is pretty good. Canada looks good so far with a guy named Anthony Bennett being a major part of their team. He had 17 points in a big win yesterday against Argentina. He was 6/6 including 2/2 from 3. Games will continue to be televised on ESPN3 for the next few days. I will be watching

Canada will start getting medals in men's hoops with their talent level in 5 years.

Bennett had 18pts 14rbs today for Canada who's 4-0 & plays in the gold medal game against Brazil now.

Good tournament for Bennett. Announcers were high on him during the gold medal game and UNLV got a few mentions. Wish the U.S. would have done better than a bronze medal but considering the team we sent it was a good accomplishment.
