UNLV gave up 33 points to the freshman which until today was the most points scored in the NCAA tournament by a Duck.

South Carolina now replaces UNLV as the school that has given up the most points to a player as Jermaine Couisnard has 35 and counting.

Such a bad venue, such a tame atmosphere (early round March madness crowds are usually subdued in comparison a big reg season games or conference tournaments) … city wasn’t that great for a host even though it’s a big city, Chicago was much, much better) …

And the result was bad … I really thought the Rebs were going to pull it out. Umeh went for five quick ones late to get the Rebels back in it … then he and Darger with back to back threes with less than 15 seconds … seemed like a magical moment that One Shining Moments were made for. Oregon hit the late charities to seal it.

That Oregon team was a buzzsaw that year. I think Florida would have been a tougher challenge too.
