Like, did our AD realize he was being played when monday leaks occurred for Hodgson?

Was Olen contacted and interested?

We didn't get played by Hodgson. Story several have said was He was coming here, but USF promised him a better NIL package with an actual organization to prove they could do it.
The story supposedly is We went all in on Wade, listening last night, we apparently had money being committed that hasn't been seen in Vegas before ever...
Then there's Olen, no one knows for sure what happened there other than he isn't the coach we hired.

If someone you don’t know just came up to you and demanded 5 thousand dollars, what would your reaction be?

Hodgson just literally showed up and demanded X amount for NIL and I don’t think he was a serious candidate and wasn’t interested in UNLV. He got USF to commit an extra year on his contract and some NIL commitments but someone just showing up and demanding commitments, perks and this and that.

The guy went to CBI and CITs, been coaching for 2 years. Suddenly thinks he’s Coach Cal. Nah, we avoided a problem there.

With Olen, I don’t think he has the right personality for Vegas. Must have interviewed poorly and didn’t vibe with people.

The scuttlebutt seems to be that Hodgson was ready to accept the job yesterday, but we couldn't give him certain NIL guarantees and he gave USF a final chance to make a counteroffer. They did and he was out the door.
