Tomorrow at the latest. Best to get him off campus as soon as possible to build excitement and momentum in anticipation of a better coach. Not saying we will find one but, we need to move on asap.

We've got 10 days before the portal opens. If CKK is still here on Monday we are ****ed. If it was Harper who gave CKK a $100k per year salary boost after the first year and then built a buyout that currently sits at over $2 million then all I can say is what a ****up of a situation.
Perhaps what someone here suggested of moving him to the baseball clubhouse is not a bad idea. Pay him his $800k, remove him from his head coach position, place him on his salary for a few years until he can be Riffed with zero or a small buyout. Now we've got the money to hire a new coach and let's get going.

Harper has to secure the bag to fire CKK and also there’s probably a final sit down where CKK has to outline his plan and also why would it work this time after failing 4 times. Not only does CKK have to convince the AD but also the people cutting checks for NIL. As an article last week indicated that they were not happy campers, to say the least.

Well if CKK thinks he deserves another year or 2 and it him or his associates doing the sabotaging then we need to run him out of town. I mean u get 4 years injuries not withstanding (this year) and you are doing underhanded shit to keep your job?? That is BS. Go to a Div II school and prove your self and then maybe get another shot somewhere else. KK was here for our S16 run with a packed UNLV home games and NOW with coaching there are 2-3000 thousands . At some point you have to look in the mirror and say that your not living up to your end.

I wouldn't think we have a Mullen situation where he was seemingly lined up early. NO idea, but it feels like Harp knew Odom was leaving before the Championship game and could repurpose Odom's extension funding for Mullen.
I would be surprised if we could find the money to both buy him out and get 2+ mil a year that it would likely take for a Wade or a Marshall though. Especially with NC State publically courting Wade pretty hard. I think it would be tough to outbid them.

If it doesn't happen by Monday we aren't getting rid of him! Man we need a reset with an all new culture to get it going again ala Odom style! I've said this since the beginning, he should of NEVER gotten this job! He had about half a dozen years of assistant coaching experience then straight to head coach at a school like UNLV, insane! Because of his name and DRF having one foot out the door he got the job! I mean take away the name and just look at the resume, there's no way you would say this was a good hire! I know Dave Rice had no head coaching experience as well but the man had like 20 years of being an assistant coach, big difference!

Not only that but CDR had an extremely strong staff. This current staff was subpar. CKKs first staff was very strong but as we know, they all bailed on CKK.

I agree with those above that if we dont hear anything by end if day Monday then I expect Kruger will be back. But i could see it going until then before they let him go if they are going to

Maybe so but they only had a meeting.. and if he goes to Iowa or NC State so be it. There are still plenty of other HC’s to look at.

Correct me if I’m wrong but the buyout next year will be 1.6 million? So it wouldn’t matter much.
I thought it drops to 800k after June... the 1.6 is if you add his salary and buyout
