When is CDM going to announce his coaching staff?

Lets see what tomorrow brings. I know they wanted to keep him, and I know he wanted to stay. Either he’s chasing a bigger opportunity, or he’s weighing his options.

Also surprised about Longshore. I thought they might keep him around in some capacity.
That’s true, might be negotiating or whatever. I’m pretty fairly certain that with today’s announcements it does close the door on the Florida wide receiver coach coming here. Hopefully we can still nab a receiver or two from them.

I'd rather have Naugles...the one just north of the 95 on Jones....on our way home from the movies...at Redrock theatres.

You could eat like a king with the left over coins in your change dish then stop at the Am-Pm Tell the cashier 'Give me $2.17 (All in nickles dimes and pennies) on number three please. And walk out like a boss...

Loved Naugles as a kid but we always hit the one on East Desert Inn near Ned Ted and Fred’s Arcade, right next to Farm Basket.

Have to give a shoutout to the Naugles on Charleston and Shadow.

I had one by my old house on Trop and about Eastern if I remember correctly. Those honey rolls were legit!
Farm basket was Definitely was there … an Arby’s, McD’s, Terrible Herbst with a big car wash, Pizza Inn, a Wendy’s and hitting near the intersection of Trop and Eastern was a Baskin Robbins, a Santoros Wings, Bicycle King and a pretty decent little arcade. That pretty much takes you from Trop and Eastern to Trop and McLeod on the North side of the street.

Yeah, my old neighborhood near Paradise Park.

Farm Basket - Now a Mexican taco shop

Arby's - Now a Havana Express Cuba restaurant

McD's - Now a tire and rim store (was my first job as a kid at this McD's)

Terrible Herbst - Torn Down about a year ago - currently an empty lot

Baskin Robbins - Still There

Santoros Wings - Do not remember

Bicycle King - long gone

Arcade - That is no longer there. It is now on Las Vegas Boulevard as that really big arcade (same owner)

Maybe a Off-topic, lol...
Yeah but it just goes to show Vegas was a small community back then. “Hey remember when we had (insert restaurant)…”

A few months ago I was out of the country and actually saw someone wearing UNLV gear, could have spent hours talking about Vegas. “What high school did you go to?” “Oh yeah, ate at the pizza parlor down the road from there” , “you lived out there? There was nothing past pebble road back then.”

Again, hours. I don’t know but to me the Las Vegas of the 90s to early 2000s, was a unique moment in time.

One of the few things I like about the growth explosion. You were a part of history and nostalgia runs extra thick because of the changes and growth.

Is Votech school still there?

I think it's a Career Tech school now but yes.
It is called SECTA. They demolished most of the building and now have all new buildings at the campus.

Its one of the career tech schools.

Funny that's where the problem kids use to get sent. Now you have to apply to get in..

Yeah Trop & Spencer. Across from the fake Tommy's Burger.

The fake Tommy's Burger joint was in that Trop/Spencer strip mall also. I used to go to the summer camp stuff at Paradise Park in the early 80s. Grandma lived in Tiburon Estates.

Had a friend that went to Bonanza that was pretty good back then. Think he was 3rd team all state or honorable mention. He used to say that all of the really good kids back then (early-mid 90s) used to joke that they should all go to Vo Tech together and win state.
Funny how a “super team” was just considered a joke back then.

The fake Tommy's Burger got sued by the real Tommy's Burger, and was forced to change their name. The new owners' really didn't know how to run the place, and even while they had good food, it was poorly run after the name change.

You rich kids!
I grew up by Rancho High School.
Learned to run home from school wearing my Catholic school uniform. 🤣
i graduated in 90. Saw some rough stuff there. Ny pizza was solid. 2.99 for 2 slices and a soda i think? One time i guy i knew cut thru the church on the 55 minute lunch break kids use to get. With his GF. 5-6 guys try to jump him. Did not realize he was a black belt and been working out and training since a kid. Smallish frame but all muscle. Kicked all the guys asses at the same time. was a cool dude. UN was his name i believe.

i still cant believe they cut the kids lunch form 55 minutes to like 25. Ridiculous! Kids education just got worse. They should have time to unwind and socialize. Maybe get some homework knocked out. About several years latter some girls got killed trying to make it back in time for school. Then they stopped allowing kids to go off campus for lunch all together.

I was part of the DECA club that went to Carson City to lobby the state legislature for funding to improves the school. I was terrified af of public speaking.
