The USU cheerleaders were out grazing and they had to coral them back.
Outside of DJ, we got no dependable scorers. With a semi capable offense we would be winning this game. Some of it is little movement on offense, some of it is shaky offensive players.
Dedan is so unclutch. Misses halftime shot at the buzzer and now can’t tie it up, Agholes drain a 3 immediately right after

It’s clear he gets rattled by the pressure of an ENTIRE program on his back in crunch time. Missing free throws when he’s usually automatic in situations where the game is not close.
I’m not saying he sucks or anything. Just that he gets rattled when the pressure is on. If he had a wingman like Donovan Williams or Bryce Hamilton, this wouldn’t even be an issue. Which is why I think he will move on to another program like Gonzaga or Arizona. Where he can just be a facilitator and not have to carry a whole program.

Not sure what you guys want from a player. Without him the team would be competing with AF for the bottom place on a bottom league.

I think that the biggest gripe is that his supporting cast isn’t better. He’s a solid college PG asked to do things that PG’s aren’t always asked to do.
Biggest gripe, UNLV is 310th in assists per game 12.6, why the offense sets stink, the coaching stinks, and the players around them are not good enough, that said the conference stinks, not one really good team this year. USU might be 19-2, just not impressed, system team with coach who knows what he is doing. FIRE KK, 9 more games of him

What should we expect from a player that is the highest paid player on the team by a significant margin? I didn’t construct this roster and it’s not like DTJ had no say in recruiting.
It’s ok to say this experiment with CKK is flaming out spectacularly, it’s ok to say DTJ isn’t a program changing talent as he’s been advertised. Terrible conference and terrible product on the floor. Tear it all down and get a real HC that can build a real roster.

I think I saw a stat where Utah State’s strength of schedule was around 130. Hardly a gauntlet.
I don’t think he’s all that wrong.
Where we differ - and we sure as hell SHOULD differ - is he has faith that they will “get it” and put it together.
we had the talent to win the MWC (weak) ,but we are lack the killer instinct! i have never seen such a bad product overall in the MWC EVER! Dave Rice first years team would be undefeated this year and average win bye 15 plus easily in this MWC.
We underachieved every year in MWC play under Rice, did we win regular season title or a MWC tournament, hardly. We had non conference wins against ranked teams but come January, big bad CSU, AFA or Wyo would humiliate Rice’s all stars every year!
We won recruiting under Rice but competing in games against inferior talent we lost way more than we should have.
No regular season champs, no MWC champs and definitely no NCAA wins or Final Four championships, that’s what I remember about 2011-2016 for men’s basketball at UNLV!
Yes Rice underachieved ,but i will take what he brought all day vs what CKK has. Imagine if CKK did not have CLK is corner the first few years, or if Thomas did not want to stay home?? Rice also from my understanding had a couple assistants not having his best interest and undermined him. Both were first time coaches and both were learning on the job.
