I hope. But last years team seemed to have more "grit" than the team this year.
LMAO! Why even waste my time! The better question is the over and under on how many people even care at this point!
This shows you have freaking sad things are.
You know how you are DEFINITELY going to get crushed… but then you end up playing nearly perfectly and the other team just doesn’t happen and you pull the upset? Happened with Marv at Reno, maybe last year against SDSU, or last year against Creighton. Just one of those games where things click … and you know it’s not a “where has this been” but it’s a total fluke. But you smile and take it.
That’s what I hope for in a handful of our games where we aren’t the better team.

A beat-down at home would be brutal. But, home court doesn't mean much any more.
Have no clue why the line for the game only has USU as a 4.5 point favorite? Does anyone think the line will be that close?
Bet usu big it seems. This is nearing last stand for unlv, so maybe they show some pride and keep this close.
USU is currently -5.5. Seems like a no-brainer to bet big on the visitors. This is where the pendulum sometimes swings. We do have talent and find a way to put in a good performance.

I actually CAN see UNLV winning one of the next two even though they’ll be moderate dogs in both.

CKK era always plays down or up to their opponent. Wouldn’t be surprised it’s close, pull off a win or it’s over by halftime. It’ll be interesting to see if the players throw in the towel early this season or not. I don’t know.

I’ve got zero expectations for a win. CKK is beginning to wear the expression of a defeated coach who only sees one outcome at the end of the season. If his team talks are anything like his media comments, I don’t see the players rising to the occasion. They’ve got eyes and ears.

Unlv getting hosed by calls and shooting bad but rebs up 1 with 420 left first half. Rebs are hustling way more than in recent games.

Well just when I saw no light, the door gets cracked open. Caught the last minute of the game. Announcers said we were down 7 in the final couple minutes?

Yeah, a couple big threes by Rish, Dedan with a couple good buckets, USU didn’t score over last 3 minutes (almost 3).
Wow. We’re the ones who usually buckle in the clutch. Nice to see them execute. Sounds like they played with some fight. I didn’t think CKK had it in him to instill in the team.

My thing is … high fives and smiles should be the maximum. Winning at home in conference against a team like USU should be expected, it shouldn’t be your Super Bowl.
A buzzer beater against Duke at home? Winning the MWCT championship? That’s a different situation than this one.
Very happy about the win…..least excited I’ve been after beating a ranked team tho…
We actually out rebounded a decent team. We still only got 2/3 of our defensive rebound chances. But that is better than we have done and we actually got a fair amount of offensive rebounds ourselves.
Love him or hate him it was a really good game plan. Slow the game way down to take away their ability to drive up the score ( they scored 20 points less than their average ). Crash the boards rather than sacrifice them to potential fast breaks. ( 6 rebounds above our average ) Really tough in-your-face physical defense.
