I'm surprised people call these games unwatchable right now. I'm seeing effort on defense that has been absent for 5 years and movement on offense that has been absent since LK's days. I also enjoy watching us implement different defensive schemes and a coach that roams the sideline with emotion. I'm watching players that accept coaching when pulled out of games and, for the most part, teamwork.
I like Menzies' attitude where he's coaching to win games. He's not coaching to showcase any player's individual talents for the next level.
In these regards, for me anyways, it's fun to watch. I know the talent level isn't what it's been but the effort level trumps what's been present for sure.
