I woke up this AM and saw Unlv beat Kansas State. I did not see that coming.

Jenkins had great game.

Unlv grabbed 24 d rebounds and gave them 14 offensive rebounds. That countinues to be terrible. Boxing out does work and is a must when you are playing small ball.

Wish I saw this, is this available as a replay anywhere?

It was a solid win. UNLV played with some consistency and held the lead for pretty much the entire game. No idea how good or bad KSU is, but a win was needed real badly for the rebels.

They're pretty bad, but a win is a win. Especially after you've dropped four in a row.

Agreed. Good win because we had none. KSU is awful, awful. The worst team we’ve played so far. Any time you get a road win, it’s going to be a good win in most. But this is a travel game, not a road game. This season is all sorts of screwed up because of the schedule/venue neutrality.

But a “Win vs a P5 opponent” while true, it’s awfully fluffy.

Maybe we will get back to the “he will be poached in 2022” now? (Not here in site, media text message before the season).

We got a host of winnables left in the slate. It just sucks that it is, at least for me, such a insignificant, unimportant season, win or lose ... to me it feels like a 5 month exhibition season for 2020-2021.

Jenkins and Grill are real D1 players. They were better than KStates D1 players. Hamilton looked like he was tired. His passing has to improve or the guys he is passing to have to move more. The game vs Texas looks a lot better now. We have some potential as Jenkins was making shots with people in his face. Good stuff was happening in K State game but exhibition season is appropriate because you can't hear cheers when you hear nothing but string music.

Hamilton finished with 18 points 8 rebounds and 6 assists. If he looked "tired" to you, than damn when he looks "awake" he could probably put up some crazy stats. Hamilton's passing does need to improve, but its weird you'd call him out a day after he had his career high in assists? and what "Texas" game are you talking about...do you mean North Carolina?

Unfortunately this season really means nothing in football or basketball. It is hard to know who will or will not be playing with all the chinese virus regulations. A good check to see if the basketball team is figuring things out is when they play Pepperdine. Pepperdine appears to be a fairly good team.

I watched the game, he looked like a ball hog at times. That is what I mean by "tired". Your right about Texas, I mean Alabama. Too many games in Feast Week. Hamilton has flashes of really good basketball just like last year in the beginning. Tired is what happens when your on the road for a week, sleeping in hotels, and not practicing and running as you normally do. The edge wears off for everyone on the team and practices can fall off in intensity and productivity. This team has really been affected by virus restrictions. Otz and the rest of the staff have a good if not excellent corp of guards/forwards/slashers. Now we see if any of the freshman bigs can play when we need them vs tall teams. Utah State got pounded by BYU so the WCC is the power conference on the West Coast now.

Davidson lost to Texas by one or two. We lost to Davidson down the stretch by four. It is not reliable but we are making progress vs team that lost by one to eventual Maui tournament winner. It also was third game in three days etc.

Iowa State is a really bad 1-3 team with their only win against 1-7 Arkansas Pine Bluff and a 28 point loss to Iowa.
