More like close to last place7th place in the MWC is looking more and more likely! Oh well thereās always win 3 in March!
Man I hope not, but after tonight..More like close to last place
My time on earth is running out to wait on Kevin KrugerI'm riding or die with Kevin. Hopefully this is one of those games you gotta have under your belt for experience sake. This shit was ugly.
For my sake as a UNLV fan, I hope he turns this ship around in the next few years.
I don't see it.That SMU team is a damn good team. Quick as hell and shots lights out. The only thing I was unhappy with was the help defense and not closing out lanes. We actually didn't play all that bad, SMU was just on fire and played a hell of a game. We will be alright... Better than 7th
AFAās record is better but like in football, you have to be disciplined to beat AFA! When you play the Falcons in football itās their offense and when you play them in hoops, itās also their offense. You need to do your job and not try to help elsewhere unnecessarily or you will get beat all day long! 2 weeks ago I had hope that this team would be at least 2-2 after the last 4 games but now 4-5 after USF seems real possible. I am now concerned that playing MWC teams may lead to a lack of intensity and that will lead to potential losses at places like Ft. Collins, Colorado Springs, San Jose and Laramie.. Let alone potential losses in San Diego, Albuquerque, Fresno, Logan and Reno!I don't see it.
Go to the NCAA stats page and pick any team stat. For the majority we're in the bottom quarter and the rest in the bottom half. You don't get stats that bad unless you truly suck.
The last two games the team has looked as bad as Marv's first year.
I can't imagine that AF and San Jose are playing worse than us.
Hopefully CKK can get them better by March.
Sadly, this all makes sense.Hiring CKK is the most important hire we have had in 30 years. We know how that turned out. IF i could pick someone to lead our program knowing it would be SUCCESFULL he would be in the TOP 5. Would i have taken a chance on him HELL NO! Too much at risk. We lost alot of fans since Rice. a TON! Going with a unexperienced coach and crossing your fingers that he turns out to be good is not how you run a program. Some fans are never coming back especially with Football, NHL, and with the possibly of MLB and NBA being here in a few years. We should of hired a much bigger name. Payne , Miller , Pitino ( i know never going to happen) or even Calhoun. We would of gotten more elite recruits and more recognition and drew more way many more fans and excitement. I dont know what names were realistic ,but there had to be a head turner in there somewhere! Plus with the 2 million buyout that could of added to the salary. They are losing how much money with a empty stadium?? I say at the minimum 5 million a year. What is that old adage say you have to spend money to make money??? Sadly his pedigree is what got him his job. Not how you run a program once again. I digress until the next lost.
