Actually they looked better at running an offense than all the other tv games. They just did not hit shots.
Defense and rebounding are horrible.

- UNR shot 56.4% from the field for the game, while UNLV shot 34.4%.
- UNLV was 8 of 27 on 3-pointers (29.6%), making just 2 of 10 in the second half.
- UNR shot 58.3% from 3-point range (14 of 24) for the game after making 8 of 12 in the first half (66.7%).
Those stats show that the Rebels are not getting it done. I realize Hamilton was out but c'mon Rebels.

I'm an old schooler. I believe in a Center, PF, SF, SG and PG. Traditional post play. I dont like the Designated Hitter either.
When I heard Otz was hired and was prone to playing 5 3pt shooters at the same time (some Moneyball stats guy), I wasn't liking what I was hearing. But, in the sake of winning and being respectable again of course I give it a shot. I'd say that I am pessimistic that the style is going to work long term, but I could be wrong.

Lon Kruger vs Beard. 25 to17 at half. It was a clank show, but the defense was awesome. Oklahoma shot 28%. We are not alone. The Ghost of Kruger haunts our shooting even now. Just kidding. You needed to watch the second half too. Gonzaga won't play this week but Baylor does tonight vs Texas. Same time as UNLV. I'll dvr the Rebs and watch Baylor LIVE!!! One last conclusion, the dead leg syndrome of Covid is alive and well. No practice time is affecting shooting across the country.
I haven’t watched a game all year. Am I really missing anything? What if I never ever watch a unlv game again?
i agree also. This list of teams with the most 3s are mostly not good. With the exception of a few elites that have more size ,athleticism and slashers that can open the 3 much better. We are 1 dimensional. Live and die by the 3. We are 90 is 3pt% and that is the only thing we are good at.
