His personal issues aside, he is not a very good football coach.
You dont see the difference?

Meyer may get fired, but it won't be for making a bad choice that probably isnt a fireable offense by itself, it will be for also losing the locker room, not being prepared to be an NFL coach among a few other reasons.

The video was a bad look, but all of this would not be as big of an issue if he were winning. There has been reports of disarray in Jacksonville even before the season started.
So yes, the video has been a bit overblown, however the second video with the "credit card swipe" with his hand could be seen as sexual assault, hoever no one seems to be talking about that video.
I think it is more about his seeminly disinterest in doing the work to build Jacksonville being the real issue.
So people go to jail for reading personal airmail. But you’re a hero if you release private emails about a subject? Not Justifying what Gruden said but it was written on a personal address. To me it seems he is a victim.
Adulterated, sexist, racist, anti gay-if one person gets fired for an offense the other should get canned also. It’s hypocrisy if the standards are set otherwise!
That is a good point. I use unlv.edu for all my emails. I have a feeling that unlv could be forced to turn all my emails over if asked. I have no idea what email server was using, but I doubt that both ends were unconnected to some corporate entity.
I'm curious where the line is drawn.
If Gruden used J.Gruden@AOL.com vs J.Gruden@ESPN.org is there a difference?
(I have no idea if those are actual email addresses..I just thought him still using AOL would be kinda funny).

As for the emails..They are ignorant.
I just wonder are we as a society removing the opportunity for redemption?
Kyler Murray used gay slurs on Twitter. It was a story for about two days. He was 14-16 years old at the time. When the story broke, I thought this is nonsense. He's a kid. This shouldn't even be a thing.
Gruden scenario different obviously. He was an adult and the comments spanned a longer period of time.
No idea what his contract says regarding resignation vs "forced" resignation vs terminated for cause. I'm sure they'll work out a settlement.
As a lifelong Raiders fan, I was disappointed when they fired JDR. I was okay with the Gruden hire itself, but didn't love it. He's been an acceptable stabilizing force but it has been clear that he isn't the type of coach in this era who can win big when it counts.
Also, I want this guy further from UNLV than Urban Meyer.

These emails became known because of the toxic environment that was being investigated in Washington, so while searching out info about those in the Redskins organization emails that Gruden had sent to people in Washington his trifecta of shiftiness became known to those investigators, then it became public. He is no victim lol
While we're talking about Gruden, Meyer, Pitino and Wooden to be UNLV's next coaches, I was thinking we should add Santa Claus too. I would gather he has a petty reputation and solid character, but then, you never know what he wrote in the margins of the Naughty and Nice list.
People will say he's a brilliant coach - a fantastic football analyst, but he's a stupid man.
I've been retired and out of the business world for 12 years but at least 25 years prior to retirement I was going to classes from HR on racial sensitivity. In the next 5 years classes against denigrating females was added followed quickly by gays. There is no way he wasn't completely aware he could not use language belittling other people based on physical of sexual characteristics.
And not only did he use inappropriate language HE WROTE IT DOWN!!
And when he wrote it he was getting paid huge $$ as a primary football network analyst and in line for every NFL coaching job that came up. Millions of dollars were on the line.
Stupid, Stupid man.
What he did was stupid..Ignorant..No excuse.
Funny thing about diversity seminars, classes, training etc...
Some recent studies are hinting (not proving) that they may be having the opposite effect intended.
Simply put.
People don't like to be preached to..
Similiar to having a political debate with somebody. Oft times when you show them empirical evidence that they are wrong, instead of accepting it and learning from it they actually become more entrenched.

What gets me is that out of the 650k emails, this is all they found? The investigation had nothing to do with Gruden but the Redskins, of which Bruce Allen was a part of. AND the NFL says they won't release any of the other emails. Cover up for others. Not that I condone Gruden's emails but he was setup to be a scapegoat, to give the media or whoever something
Exactly and Old Rog has Not said one word! Maybe the NFL is protecting some of the Owners from having to Donald Sterling them!
