UNLV and UCLA to Big 10?

Says 2 hours ago. Academics is huge to big 10. Vegas market makes since. Everytime I go by MD academic. Buildings going up is huge.
This would be greatest thing to ever happen to UNLV, even more then Basketball championship! I would buy season tickets if this happens! Dream big.

I was always thinking Big12 but if the B10 are interested, I say go forward UNLV!

UCLA is already in the Big10. I doubt UNLV is on anyones top 10 list of schools to add to the BIG.

Still have a lot of work to do to get there. But UNLV take care of business and win a game in the CFP. At least it would be fun, Wins.
I think the main for UNLV is stability after achievements. Continual improvements or "trending up" is the key. UNLV may not get into the BIG or SEC but may end up in the Big12 or ACC.
Either way the journey or the chase will be fun. I swear, just lock up our football coach as soon as possible. Then just focus on the MBB Coach.
The article is nonsense. However, if Utah and UNLV do what they need to do, Utah to the B10 and UNLV to the SEC are within the realm of possibilities in the next ten years while Washington State and Boise State can enjoy their success in the expanded Pac conference.
You should buy them now, the more season ticket sales the better of a target UNLV becomes for expansion
I can’t imagine the Big10 would have UNLV at the top its wishlist, but then again college sports is going thru major upheavals so I probably wouldn’t be surprised anything at this point. If a conference is looking for another team out west that checks a lot of boxes, has tremendous growth ahead of it and brings excitement to every conference team’s travel, there really isn’t any better choice than UNLV, especially now that we’ve begun to walk the walk. Keep on dreaming!! 😁

Let's be clear about this.It's never about academics never has never will. How many kids have been disqualified, Because of not qualifying.? I say less than .1% yet in HS there is about a 13% failure rate. Which is such a joke. It was 27% in early 90s. The standards and teaching practices have declined so much that I would be a valedictorian in some of these liberal HSs. How many kids actually make a career out of their degree?

Most in the B12 are strongly against UNLV. But UNLV does have some support. It’s not going to be enough though. IMO. Not right now.
Rutgers and MD haven't done squat for football, it's hurt MD basketball big time.
It's dream to me, however it's race for big 10 and SEC to eat all conferences up.

Someone is going to think, Vegas will be good business for their conference and why not them instead of someone else taking vegas into their conference. I think we are in a p4 conference in 2 years.
There are those in media that would support the move. Its more about politics than a love for UNLV though.
Cheating is too easy and ethical standards are low. Don’t ask, don’t tell, It’s just don’t get caught …. which, you have to be kind of lame to get caught. We don’t worry about academics anymore. Remember back in the day? Sometimes you’d hold your breath at winter break because somebody didn’t make the grade. Or you had to wait for second semester to start for Butler and Scurry to play against Iowa. Or waiting for Lou Kelly’s JC grades to post. Or Marcus Banks needing JC because of a credit that wasn’t taken.
We don’t worry about any of that. Everyone is eligible if they have a heartbeat.

We just need more of these articles surfacing for the ACC looking for travel partners for Cal and Stanford and SEC looking for Western markets and box the Big 12 into adding us or "losing us" to one of these others, lol...
Which makes the hypocrisy thick when they say they don't want UNLV for "academic reasons." Sure but you have no problem admitting the first team All American DL with the Blutarsky 0.1 GPA. Other than a small handful of schools like ND and BC few have many standards when it comes to academics.
Time to get more UNLV graduates writing and putting out more of these stories!
