Tark was a different animal and times were different.

Tark had their back, Tark earned their trust … and they remained loyal. It wasn’t always like that back then, but far more prevalent than today.
Entitlement wasn’t nearly the thing back then as it is now, either.
Nowadays, coaches use players, players use programs. There isn’t much loyalty. And it’s worse now with NIL, money is the driver. Loyalty is sold for pennies on the dollar.
I don’t blame KK for that. I blame him for many things but not that.
I think it’s harder to be a coach now than back then. Back then, it was more about teaching and coaching, it was a given that 75% of non seniors that you recruited would return, a year older, a year wiser, a year more mature. Now they bolt at first sign of trouble or for an extra digit with NIL.
