Watching Chris Beard’s Red Raiders of Texas Tech hosting Eric Mussellman’s WolfPack of UNR. A 10-pt lead for Reno has shrunk to four, with considerable help from home-cookin’. About six minutes and change left in regulation. I suppose I should be pulling for the Wolves, for the sake of the Mountain West. True confessions: I put a small wager on our neighbors to the north plus 5 ½. I would root for UNR in any event, just because these homer announcers are so damn annoying.

Are Rebel announcers as obnoxious as many of these other guys? I really don’t think so, but maybe I don’t notice because I’m a Rebel fan. Anyway, in the time it’s taken to compose this message, the ‘Pack has lost the lead, and won it back. They currently lead 66-63 with 3:11 left. So let’s go Wolfpack! Yuck…

Ugh!...Must be some sort of cross-state illness. UNR falls in OT 82-76 and my little wager goes up in smoke. I can add it to the pile of games where the hook has got me...
