Hmmm. Hasn't T Miles learned at Nebraska that getting a p5 gig not set up for success is an awful hard road? He could get a better job than Cal.

This board would have been very critical of a T Miles hire 2 years ago. You would have called him a failure at Nebraska and not good enough for Unlv.

Nebraska is hard gig to win, he got his money, Cal is another hard job to win at, but hey if they are paying 3-4 million for 5 years guarantee take it and enjoy retirement after you get fired.

And it helps that if he's at Cal for 4 or 5 years, he'll have had time to get used to teams like UCLA, USC, and the Arizona schools... all of whom will have been replaced by SDSU, CSU, SMU, and other familiar foes
