If UNLV can get a split this week, UNLV puts themselves in a pretty sweet position going forward to potentially get an at large bid. 12-1 OOC would be really nice. Most people on this board would probably say that UNLV would at least have to finish 11-2 OOC to have some sort of chance. There is a big difference between 11-2 and 12-1 because that extra win would be over Northern Iowa or Arizona. Both are going to dance. 12-1 with wins over Utah, Northern Iowa or AZ, Illinois isn’t the greatest resume ever but would give UNLV some room of error going into MWC play.
If UNLV finishes 12-1, how any wins do you think UNLV would need in MWC play in order to feel “safe” going into a Selection Sunday? Would they definitely need wins in the MWCT?
