Tate Martell Lee Corso

With the roster the way it is, and who is coming in it doesn't make a lot of sense.

You can't have 7 guys eating up scholarships at the QB position.

I think you can never have enough QB’s. Remember that New Mexico game in 2011? Barnhill was taking direct snaps all night. Fun night in Albuquerque

I don't see it happening since he would already be too late for this season, and we have several really good QB recruits for the future so he really wouldn't bring anything to the table!

It makes very little logistical sense.

Tate is a polarizing guy, but he is a talented player.

If he would have followed Sanchez to UNLV, we would have been jumping up and down in celebration proclaiming him the savior of the program.

Amazing how much press the #56 player in the 2017 class has gotten... and he was generally considered over-rated at #56 because he had the benefit of playing behind an O-Line that had 10 players between 260lb and 320lb.

If he would have come to UNLV as "the savior of the program" and never made the NFL, then we would just have to listen to all those critics "he was a big time recruit but UNLV couldn't develop him"... that is what is said of guys like Brandon McCoy, as if the difference between him and Anthony Davis was that McCoy didn't have Calipari "develop him" for the 9 months of his college career.

True.

But you could say that about Ali Walsh. He had the benefit of running behind that line.

Tate was probably rated to highly when he came out.

But people (UNLV fans) being dismissive of him now because he somehow isn't good enough for UNLV is kind of funny.

Like I said, had he signed here out of HS it would have been viewed as a huge win for UNLV.

Tate doesn't make sense for UNLV because there will be to many QBs on scholarship.

I might be wrong but I thought Tate Martell took a pass for Miami yesterday. How is he transferring to UNLV?

I don’t think its an issue of ability for me. I know he can fling the ball around well enough, and has the ability to scramble well enough. I just don’t like the locker room issues that could come from a player that could be locker room cancer.

More than that, if we don’t go bowling, CTS is gone. If we do go bowling, that means Rogers turned the corner. There is no scenario where Tate is needed and CTS is the coach next year.
