Highlights and observations from today's practice.

It's very early in the evaluation process, but one player who has stood out thus far is Jericho Flowers. Flowers, as many remember switched from cornerback to wide receiver last year due to the rash of injuries the Rebels suffered at that position. Flowers is back at his more natural position of cornerback and has taken a lot of reps with the first and second team defense. He capped off a solid day of practice with an interception of Stanton in 11 on 11.

Junior cornerback Tim Hough also had a good day, highlighted by his interception of an Armani Rogers pass along the sidelines. (A little more on that in a minute)

Red shirt freshman receiver Andre Collins Jr. had a couple of nice grabs and gives his quarterbacks a big target. Collins looks even bigger than his listed 6'4 215 lbs. With the entire receiving corp returning (and healthy) he may find it hard to find the field this year but is worth keeping an eye on.

Armani Rogers showed two traits you like to see in a young quarterback, confidence and a short memory. On the very next play after throwing an interception, he threw a beautiful pass over the defense hitting Brandon Presley in stride for what would have been a sure touchdown.

Next week the team will move to shells and then full pads.
