1. I have no problem with the AD firing Marvin. Personally, I would have given him another year but information about the solvency of athletics at unlv may have changed that decision.
2. Hard to have too much sympathy for MM who gets about $1000/day for the next two years for doing nada.
3. I think MM made a bad decision in not opening b-ball practice. That decision made it harder for the team to gain traction in LV. I enjoyed reading what people had to say about practices.
4. On the positive side, the next few or more weeks following the vagaries of a typical unlv coaching search will be much more interesting than they would have been without a search for a coach.
5. Also, the question of what players stay, who leaves, and who does the new coach add.
So we may get a month of spiked interest compared to what would have happened sans MM’s firing.
