Watching just for the enjoyment of the tournament, those were some pretty good games. Yeah, ND missed some opportunities but UK made plays, too. It seemed to be a series of games where it was more of players stepping up rather than somebody just flat out giving it away. And that's the kind of competition I like best. Somebody taking it, not giving it away.
So I thought it was pretty good basketball. That said, the game has changed so much (for the worse, IMO), the teams of 20 and 30 years ago would roll through the current tournament. Older players, players much more fundamentally sound, better team play, tough "men", etc.
