San Diego St

To me as a fan it is disappointing to watch games like SDSU because it shows what the team could be capable of but they don’t play that way. Instead we get more games like Miss St, CSU and Boise St. sure teams come out flat a few times a year but we are the opposite.

I tend to go by logic rather than emotion. Evidence, not blind faith. I guess many fans are blind faithers.

His coaching history shows we can show a blip of good and it’s met by a resounding thud shortly thereafter.

But this MAY be different because the environment is different. In his four years, this is the weakest the league has been. There are no “unbeatables” and it appears our weak are as weak as ever if not even weaker. Some teams that usually compete for the top are poor to mediocre (UNR, SDSU).

So maybe there is a chance. I’m not confident myself, I’ve seen the bad in this team rear its ugly head too often. Are we magically tough now because we gritted out the past two games, because just a couple days before that we rolled over from glancing blows vs mediocre BSU and CSU ….

Like his previous three years, the goal is winning the MWCT and the best way to avoid that is shoot for that top 5 seed which shouldn’t be difficult in the what appears to be a two bid league …
The Lobo game will be telling.

It does seem like a little deja vu of past seasons. Every time the seem to have a little success, it is followed by a thud, so my expectation is the same thud will happen again until the end of the season.

New Mexico is the one bright sunshine in the conference so far. I just keep hoping for failure of all the future PAC teams, and loved to see another loss by Gonzaga. I am going to love seeing Gonzaga getting a football share in the PAC based on their basketball when they are not exactly looking like world beaters this season! 🤣
