I’m just wondering why all of a sudden guys are all effort and playing hard. Where was this in noncon and Boise/CSU?
If they keep this effort up the rest of the way they will be fun to watch.
Surprised they won but glad they did. Especially against the Asstecs.
I really love a lot of our up and coming guys (Pape, Bedford, even Bannarbie) and think we could keep getting better down the stretch
Makes you wonder if the players know that they must go all out and win out to save the coaches job? Can't think of any other reason for them to play this well the last couple of games, or will they go back to how they played before after a couple of games? I would love if Kruger decided to get passionate and aggressive, but it looked like that was going to happen at the end of last season, then they fell apart in the last NIT game.

Big difference is they beat both USU and San Diego State in rebounding. I think it was due to better energy from start to finish on defense & rebounding.

We played very intense defense which led to fast break points and easier transition buckets (sound familiar from a certain coaching legend??? RIP, Tark).
It was fun to watch the effort alone. We aren't going to the NCAA's but I can be impressed for a week with this team.

More importantly, today the Lady Rebels on CBS Sports Network 1pm PT vs Wyoming in the COX Pavilion. A reminder in case some of you forgot.
Love this version of the Rebs. Hard-nose defense, opportunistic offense, and a uber-talented PG leading the team. We’ll see if they can keep up the intensity. Not easy to do over a season especially when they play mediocre-poor teams. CKK’s job is on the line (or should be) so he should likewise be especially motivated. Love what I’m seeing but not even close to buying yet.
Im not sold yet either. U play hard and with purpose and you can win games your not suppose to. We are not devoid of talent either. We are nowhere near TOP 25. We are a fringe tournament team.
Still think NCAAT or pack your bags. Great couple of wins this week so congrats on that. But those shouldnt be enough to save Kevin and company's jobs

The lack of an experienced point guard helped the Rebs with the trap. Our 6'7" transfer guards are playing a lot better than a week ago. SDSU does not have a go to scorer which cost them in all of their losses. Are we better? Yes, but Thomas is a ball hog, won't pass the ball to the open corner for easy jump shots especially to Brooklyn. He does feed the post and then the Bear bricks it so that is a lost cause. Hill looks great physically, a lot lighter and quicker.
Miles Bird is their go to guy, he just was off in the first half and arguably would be the equal to or better than any of our so-called scorers.
Are we better, sure last night but we got “boat raced” by Boise St and CSU just a few games ago. I am not seeing the last two games as anything other than the “norm” around here. We win a few games then many here act like some switch was flipped and Kevin has figured it out and the players have jelled?
If they make it to the NCAA this March, then the light bulb has gone off but until then this is no different than last year or the year before, we win a few games only to not win in MWC tournament play and be left out of March Madness!
Tends to happen every year. We get blown out then come back refocused for a stretch and then lose a game or 2 that takes us out of title contention.. still feels like fools gold to me, won't matter till we do it in March vs these teams
