It looks like they are willing to be independent if need be. Interesting move. They are seemingly all in
Simple if the NCAA doesn't allow them to switch, just sue the shit out of them and do it anyways. NCAA has no legs to stand on!It looks like they are willing to be independent if need be. Interesting move. They are seemingly all in
Did you get the B10 and SEC’s approval yet?

Guessing they are making this decision to move now because MWC and PAC are not in an hurry to think about adding Sac State.
To me I’d rather add Tarleton State and or Texas State, tarleton averaged 20k now for football and built a state of the art arena for basketball. It’s really been a meteoric rise for TS.
They are in the middle of that Texas oil money machine, great recruiting area and they are only 1-2 hours from DFW.First time I heard Tarleton State I thought who? Followed by why?
Looked into them more.....
They definitely have some upside. Tons of recent investment. Great attendance for FCS.
Smart move for the MWC is to pick up the Texas schools and maybe Sac if possible to paint the PAC into a corner.Good for Sac State making the move but I don’t see independence working out for them long term. I imagine they think the MWC or PAC will eventually grab them.
I think UC Davis to the MW is pushing this too. Davis will be playing FBS football before too long and Sac State doesn’t want to be left behind in FCS.
Supposedly yes. Most of it pledges I'm sure. Maybe $5M/year over 10 years? Way more than WSU has. And yes they plan to build a new stadium, and the Kings offered up their BB arena. F-ing Pac-2 are such dipshits. #20 TV market, energized community, big bucks stepping up. And we are blowing them off. Meanwhile, the Sun Belt (Tx St) tells us to pound sand.I saw on line somewhere that Sac State has an enormous NIL budget? I think I saw that the owner of the Kings is involved and is the reason they are taking on a move upward in competition and a potential new stadium.
It said $50M… is this true?

Good job Teresa, you incompetent bitch.
Good evening drunken whoremongers. So, lots of bad news from Pac-2 land. First (2 day old) link below, Texas State is staying in the Sun Belt. Second, the writer is an idiot - he totally has the Pac and MW confused. The MW is not desperate for an 8th full member, Hawaii is #8. Separately, unsubstantiated rumor on my idiot board is that the Pac offered Texas State a half share and they said no. Teresa swinging for the fences again, another dribbler back to the pitcher. Stupid bitch.

Texas State reveals final decision on future amid Mountain West interest
Texas State has made their intentions clear after rumors surfaced that they could potentially join the Mountain West.clutchpoints.com
So, the incredibly Foresighted and Mighty Loyal One predicts that the Pac will (finally) offer Sac State, which will make their pitch to go FBS smoother. We got no other choice at this point, which is fine with this level-headed Coug.
And finally, the latest predictions from Cougland (link below) are that our media deal will be between $7-12M. Among the laughable quotes:
"Based on the calendar, though, something will be coming together soon because the conference has said it won't focus on landing a crucial eighth school — one that brings football and multiple-sports into the mix — until after a media rights agreement is pinned down. "
But no hurry, right? And as per the article, is the MW media deal reallly $3.5M thru 2032? I thought you were working on a new one for 2026.......
Enjoy....![]()
Hawaii adds more than that. You have to factor most of the major Polynesian islands. Lots of family ties and bonds to players at Hawaii. Fiji, Samoa, and Tonga add 1.3m. Not to mention all of the families spread around the world. There are more Samoans in California than in Samoa.3.5 is rumored. Could be 4.5 with Hawaii market now available (They were tied to a Spectrum TV deal) Hawaii adds a market of about 1.5 million people and an additional TV time slot. They bring more to the table than people think.
I said months ago NMSU may end up in the PAC. The PAC is running out of options quickly.
If I'm NMSU I'm telling the PAC full share or pound sand.
