Had offers from Arizona State, Florida, Kansas, Oregon and San Jose St.

He is a 3* WR

He has an 0.8527 ranking on 24/7 which would make him the 13th highest ranked player for UNLV since they started ranking the players. His ranking would put him only a little behind Armani and without question the highest ranked player to date for the 2020 class.

There seems to be a lot of buzz and excitement around UNLV FB with the recruits. I love what CTS has done for this program and the way he has promoted this city and program to prospective recruits and their parents. He is the first coach we have had in a long time to consistently win 3 or more games a year while trying to overcome the stigma associated with the team and the city. He is winning that battle.

Barring injuries we can go bowling this year but if we fall short I believe that DRF would be making a mistake by replacing him unless there is a total collapse on the field. He has brought us out of the Dark Ages of facilities and brought us into an era of competing with other universities for quality athletes. He has the energy and drive and also the willingness to do whatever it takes to make UNLV FB competitive and that seemed to be one of DRF’s major criteria’s when hiring TJO this year.

I am hoping that DRF doesn’t have to make a hard decision at the end of the season but instead UNLV will be bringing home a Bowl Trophy!

Pistol you should think about that question? Where do you think QB Doug Brumfield came from?

Good catch. Sweet Potatoes, he stands in the pocket real nice and delivers a good ball and looks like a good athlete that could take off and run if he had to. Thanks

I get what you are saying Pete.

But you can't retain him after a 5th losing season heading into the new stadium. You have to put butts in seats.

The stadium will be a draw by itself. So maybe you get a couple thousand more next year. But the new car smell wears off after a year or two, and the only draw is the product on the field.

Besides these boards and with other diehards, nobody gives two nickels about the practice facility.

All people see is a New Mexico 50 UNLV 17 score go across the ticker while watching ESPN and 'think same old Rebels'.

He has to get to a bowl this year.

Even here at lowly UNLV, there should be standards. 5 losing seasons wouldn't be good enough anywhere else, it shouldn't be good enough here.

The AD pretty much put out an ultimatum. I believe that as long as she’s here, that ultimatum will stick. Bowl eligible team or bust. I guess she can leave or be pushed out by people of influence and that could change things politically.

She went as far as inviting his potential replacement on campus...

The ultimatum should stick.

The right decision was made retaining him to get off the hook for the facility costs.

I know how important that facility is to the future of the program.

But at some point the W/L column needs to matter. I think 5 years is enough time to determine if the guy can get it done..

I don't know how things are shaping out but the program had $6.4 million in (cash on hand) with another $6.1 million in pledged future donations & the remaining $16 million coming from borrowed money.
The program has really no no choice but to go boom-or-bust this year because there is a lot of money to be made up to get the program back to solvency.

Nice vid. I would like to see more of his rout running, however.

That's usually the biggest thing HS receivers need to learn. HS offenses typically don't have complex route trees (to help QBs). In return receivers don't run a large variety of routes.

Definitely one of the harder things to scout on WRs coming out of HS.
