I will post so that we have a couple of post! UNLV basketball should be renamed the Walking Dead or Dead Man Walking!
Expect the local articles to start saying CKK is in the hot seat. That would be the first sign to me this guy is toast after the season.
He’s toast after the season. Local press is always two months behind the obvious.
Unclutch strikes again. Missed two free throws, something just isn’t right between the ears for the guy.
We just get so few easy hoops. Too much passing around the perimeter. Guys played hard. Our offense just sucks.
That was awful if that’s what was actually called. That’d be terrible coaching, that’s the type of thing we saw from Marv.
But the players could have broken away from the designed play. I don’t know.
Scoring shouldn’t be that difficult. The system is very inflexible, doesn’t help create good shots. I know that’s wash, rinse, repeat of the last few seasons.
Clutch Dedan goes 5-10 from the free throw line. Rest of team 14-14…. Amazing point guard….He is no Robert Smith…
First time I’ve seen them in person this season. It’s as bad live as on tv. This team wasn’t built to win. Just throw a bunch of people together and see what happens. That’s no way to assemble a team.
The pressure of the season and carrying a program is obviously too much for him. He’s pressing too much, not having any fun etc.
CKK is an idiot for wasting two seasons of this guy with unlv. I doubt he comes back next season.
Never seen a team pass on a quick open 3, only to drive directly into heavy traffic. Happens often which is mind boggling
You can see he’s feeling it. Had some very questionable body language in the second half after a couple tram turnovers, one was his.

Dribbling too hard on one of his last drives, he was panicked. You can spot the body language and other signs that he’s frustrated and not enjoying it out there. It’s not a lack of effort or that he sucks, it’s the weight of everything riding on his shoulders.
CKK filled this team with JAGs and he’s not an experienced enough coach that can adjust or develop these players. I’ve noticed lot of guys that stick with CKK for 2-3 years tend to regress.
I thought a backcourt duo of Hicks and Dedan would be one of the best in the conference, was way off on that one. Hicks hasn’t really played much during this losing streak and played 20 plus minutes in the big wins vs Utah State/SDSU.

There's currently no 'Runnin' in the Rebels.
The idiot announcer, fast break and a Cherry slam … THAT’S what the rebels want, up tempo, fast break. And this dork has seen the Rebels play several times.

Pete Gillen has been around forever. Nearly 78 years old. He has done some Rebel games it seems like 20 years or longer. He always talks like that whenever he does our games. I use to hate when he did our games but anymore I just slightly cringe. I give him some slack for still being able to announce these games.
u said it not me. 1-7 we have the most talent. Yea some teams have 1 really good player ,but the drop off is huge when it comes to the other players. IMO with a better philosophy i think we win more games. 4 or more. m not saying we are anywhere near TOP 25 We lack the killer instinct. We play at the level of the competition and never above it. How many blowout wins do we have this year?? Good teams put bad teams away. WE dont.
