College basketball referees have a greater impact than referees/umpires in any other sport.

I find myself completely disgusted with them at least half the time, and this includes games where UNLV isn't even playing. I am a pretty hardcore Dodgers/Lakers fan, and I almost never feel that a game was won or lost, or ruined, due to the refereeing or umpiring. Not so with college basketball, and certainly not with the Rebels.

The other thing is the home court advantage. The percentage numbers concerning home court wins and losses are staggering. There should be an advantage, but not as extreme as it is.

Baseball is the best, it's the easiest to call. Everything is very focused on the tiniest of areas. Everyone can see the focal point and there can be no infractions away from the ball.

I think football is pretty poor, but better than basketball.
