No question the stakes were higher. But the MWC Championship game had over 3.05 million TV viewers and 2 million more than the year before and set a record. That is a huge jump! So much for the metrics! It just shows that the Boise/UNLV game could have developed into a rivalry that interested a national audience. Also, there wasn’t a P4 team playing to improve the ratings. Just two G5 programs that obtained P4 like ratings.

2 top 20 teams, a playoff birth on the line and most importantly a Heismann candidate that most people haven't been able to watch much.
With very little competition.
All good for us. Not sure what kind of revenue sharing UNLV gets for this. I know that Boise gets the majority of the gate revenue

For Friday night games, UNLV/Boise was a top 5 game this season in terms of viewership. At least, as far as we know since CBS is picky with which games they release numbers for.

Bottom line it’s another positive in UNLV’s list for moving up in conferences. Keep it going!!
