hate because he wore “UCLA” on his jersey. We have to hate. Duke, AZ, UCLA. That’s what a UNLV fan does.

I’m talking about Ed O’Bannon, the star that betrayed the Rebels and went on to win a championship with UCLA.

Listen, this guy wanted to be a Rebel so badly. He loves Tark, said he cared more about his players than any coach. What Tark did for him was telling - that Tark urged him to play elsewhere since UNLV was going to be on probation. He wanted to stay, always wanted to be a Rebel, still considers himself to be a Rebel, but Tark wanted what was best for Ed, not for UNLV or Tark.

We talked a bit about what it would have been like. He lit up. He said they’d have made Duke, Kansas, UK, Arizona, all the biggest bluebloods, look like second rate teams because Tark had horses upon horses lined up and UNLV was just going to get stronger and stronger and stronger.

He wore that ugly blue and those forsaken letters, but it’s really hard not to like the dude as an individual.

F Maxson, F the NCAA. We were robbed and then murdered. The death of a dominant program.
