Simplistically, they’re saying we will be better than Boise next season. That’s it.

I believe their coach is a keeper. However, he'll need to recruit like crazy and I don't see him even coming close to replacing the core he had handed to him this past season. I think UNLV>BSU is a gimme.

I don't know enough about the other G5 conference leaders to say the BYE #4 is a lock.

For sure it’s possible. I think we will probably end up starting the year in the top 25 …. Near 25, but it’s a great start. UNLV was almost in that position in 2001, we weren’t ranked but somewhere in the receiving votes … based upon our crushing of Arkansas in the LV Bowl the year prior and the silly Jason Thomas for Heisman talk. And then we had a quarterback that couldn’t throw a ball and a punter who couldn’t field a perfect snap and the season went south quickly.

That game killed my spirit. We so had an SEC road victory and blew it.

You shouldn't stress to much about that... even if he does, there would be so much interest in the program we'd have our pick, includes Arnette whose already on staff...
