But might soon be though, these guys look awful out there!
I'd like to say that concern diminishes with age, but I definitely cared about football all season. Guess I've still got the fire should we produce a good product. What a disaster..
Wish I had the energy to care…
We are #7! We are #7! We are #7! Yahoo!Awful. Just awful.
More time. You can see we are on the brink of playing high pressure defense and our ball movement and crisp cuts tell you baskets galore are right around the corner.
Give it time. Have patience. You are seeing the inklings of brilliance materialize. It’s a slow growth, but growth nonetheless.
Please shit upSilver linings, grasping at straws or horseshoes, you pick but all describe this!
Fire Kevin Kruger, NOW!
So they’re saying UNLV is a zero?
Only because CKK has to work against the following (but this is also why he needs more time):So they’re saying UNLV is a zero?
We are #0, we are #0, we are #0! Hip Hip Hurray! So they’re saying UNLV is a zero?
But there’s the caveat. Allowing for the slow growth philosophy, a coach doesn’t have to actually produce anything at all until year 5 when we are sure every single player is his own, so we can ensure they have his vision.Only because CKK has to work against the following (but this is also why he needs more time):
Reason 1
Reason 2
Etc.
Pass..Wasn’t going to start a new thread but I just saw that Sacramento just canned Mike Brown, I know some years ago he was being considered for the job at unlv after Rice or Menzies was canned.
Would love him!Wasn’t going to start a new thread but I just saw that Sacramento just canned Mike Brown, I know some years ago he was being considered for the job at unlv after Rice or Menzies was canned.
That’s where I think we will finish and it’d be good enough for an NIT and new hiring. IMO.
We need change . Regardless on how we finish. If we go on some miracle run it going to be real hard to fire CKK. We are not devoid of talent and the MWC just keeps on getting weaker and weaker. So it not out of the realm of possibilities. I say 10-15% chance we go dancing. When we play Utah St, NM, and Boise St that will give us a real indicator where we are. We play AF tomorrow. We are -7.5 favorites. I could see us drop that game also. That’s where I think we will finish and it’d be good enough for an NIT and new hiring. IMO.
Absolutely no way in hell UNLV ever loses to Air Force! What did you say? Air Force beat UNLV 90-58! You are on drugs, no way in hell is UNLVWe need change . Regardless on how we finish. I know players of the past, legends and even …. The ones that still actually care are ready to move on. Some don’t even know how we’re actually doing. Can you imagine that? It’s like a child of theirs and they have no idea where they are at and they really don’t care. They’ve massacred the program. The lack of attendance is enough to make a change. Maybe if he goes to a FF he will be retained. Outside of that, even us diehard fans are hoe-hum about the program.
Then consider us not having a legit shot at winning it.So what’s the status of Whaley?? I know he has a back injury but I’ve heard nothing on the status of his return. While this team is balanced and has the ability to compete in conference when they shoot well, I don’t see them having a legit shot at winning the MWCT without Whaley.
Utah State is a paper tiger that has played an incredibly weak schedule!Currently 109 NET.
Our path to the Tourney. 1. Win the MWCT. or 2. Be in the top two of the league ( in the past 15 years that means 4.6 conference losses for second place or 2.8 losses for first place- so lets say 4 losses or 2 losses since the league is on a down year). Therefore we need to split w USU, New Mexico, Boise and SDSU ( For first place split with only 2 ) and win all the rest. That would give us zero Q 4 losses, 1 (3 for first place) quad 1 win and 6 quad two wins.

They did beat Iowa, at St Mary's, at San Diego State, and at UNR.Utah State is a paper tiger that has played an incredibly weak schedule!
Not saying UNLV is a good team, but in comparison they have had a much harder schedule so far. The only win for Utah State over a ranked team is over SDSU by 1. I believe they are similar to the UNLV team from 2015 and 2017 that started out really strong and then hit the meat of the MWC schedule and fell on their faces. They did beat Iowa, at St Mary's, at San Diego State, and at UNR.
Their only loss was to UC San Diego (bad loss).
That's not a terrible schedule, or at least it doesn't sound terrible to me. Maybe those teams still have the 'name' associated with them but not the skill that they typically do. I don't know.
They are 4-0 quad 1 and 2-1 quad 2. That is not a weak schedule.Utah State is a paper tiger that has played an incredibly weak schedule!
A split makes you think, win at home, lose on the road, obviously.Currently 109 NET.
