I enjoy watching the Rebels basketball team because they play offense. I would like to see more back door cuts and passes to the weak side off the first pass in the base offense. I don't like watching our team hesitate on the first step while on defense. I see a lot of other teams and players on ranked teams get beat to the basket for easy lay ups too. It just isn't UNLV, it is a system wide NCAA decision to limit the defensive players ability to beat the offensive player to the spot. The offensive player fakes a foul and gets the free throw. It is a travesty. I believe our players are overly conscious of this and the teams lack of depth at guard as really hurt us. We rely on our offense to win and that is at least a great positive because we have a great offensive team.
