If the pay for college players ever really gets tied to actual name and image, most of them will be lucky if they get 5% of what they currently get. Everything now is tied to cash bribes to play at a given school because of a booster or alumni that wants to win games with zero consideration to the actual worth of the players. It would not surprise me to see BYU end up playing in the final 4 every year. My expectation is that the days of schools like Gonzaga getting to the sweet sixteen or above may be few and far between unless they have a magical booster willing to provide 10's of millions!

As far as Gonzaga goes they seem to be unique. Unique in the fact that they have been winners for so many years they have a National following and that's lead to multiple big money donors from all across the country.
There will come a point that $$ won't be able to guarantee success. No matter how much money there are only so many players. There are 1185 roster spots on P4 plus Big East teams . ( 79 teams ) IMO only about 300 of those are prime players ( perhaps less since only 60 get drafted each year and some of those don't pan out). That's enough for 20 teams. That leaves 59 teams unable to stock up no matter what. Even if it's split more evenly something like 1/2 the teams won't be able to buy a championship - just through lack of talent.
Then we get to G5. UGH!!
