Seems like UNLV is looking to get some decent name recognition in the program. I'm not sure this is where I'd want to go though.

This is a stellar hire. Everyone acts like coaches need to be moral compasses for the entire university. No, they need to win. That's they're job. If you can't learn from a mistake that cost you a high end job, you'll be easy to let go. This is an absolute fantastic hire with this offense. Turned Lamar from prospect to Heisman...
Neuheisel just did 15 minutes on Pitrino and UNLV to the PAC 12. Very interesting.
Anyone with a problem with this needs a reality check. This is a home run OC hire. He’s not in the limelight as a HC and you have him on a short leash. He is a great offensive mind, UNLV does not have the luxury to be choosy. This is great news for UNLVFB
Wow, Bobby Petrino to UNLV? Now that's what I'm talking about. I wasn't super excited about the Odom hire, but I was starting to see the light. Petrino as OC is awesome.
This will get UNLV a lot of mostly positive hype. Who needs DS, we got Petrino. Great for recruiting offensive players.

Well, we've been trying to get Pitino forever, so it's probably just subconsciously changing it to be a mix of RP and Bobby Petrino
Considering how well Kruger has done so far, I am happy with him staying as the BB coach.

Petrino turned Lamar Jackson into a Heisman winner, Brumfield has the same skill set. If he can stay healthy, i'm very excited to see Petrino work with Doug.
I’m sorry but Brumfield is serviceable...when healthy....but is no where close to the player and athlete that Lamar Jackson is. Let’s all settle down a little bit.
I'd love to see Petrino bring in a mobile 4* freshman QB, several 3* or 4* receivers who can catch a ball and a few fast and beefy offensive linemen.

Ummmm. Lamar Jackson in high school was one of the top QBs and everyone wanted him. They’re not even close to the same QB.
I love Brumfield for staying and wanting to be a Rebel but he is miles apart from being Lamar Jackson.

The good thing with Petrino is that he's had success with multiple types of QBs. His first go round at Louisville was predominantly pocket guys.
