It has been like 4 or 5 games with nothing from this guy. You cannot have your best player just decide not to be a factor for several games. It would be like if Harris decided to shoot 2-3 times for several games. That would never happen. What is wrong with this kid? Did his girlfriend leave him? Is he having emotional problems? There has to be a reason. It cannot be that he is just being passive. That is impossible with a kid who had this much to play for individually and as a team. Impossible.
I have been a huge defender of Rice. This "Groundhog Day" season after season has even gotten to me. I would be fine to blame Rice fully if not for Pat. It is like saying we don't need our best player to beat you. How can he be a total "no show?" I have to agree with everyone else. This is just not fun. It is one thing to lose while playing hard and decently well. It is painful to just look so bad. If I am Rice and I want to save my job, I have to figure out what then hell is going on with McCaw.
