OT: What’s the longest you’ve ever stayed at a buffet?

I’m on a total winning streak..I been eating at Hazel Wilson House of Commons and they were filming for a commercial, so the lady up front said my meal was for free!!

Im studying to be a gym instructor but my bipolar, I can’t sit and memorize picture and sentences.

Well it’s finals week and I plan on sitting here until 8 pm and will be eating like a cow!!

Probably five or six hours when I was a kid. Pizza Inn on Trop and McLeod charged 15 cents times your age if you were under 12 for all you could eat pizza, salad bar and sodas. We took advantage of it a lot. We are talking early 80’s.

The hyperinflation in this country is OUT of freakin control.

Three twelve packs of Dr. Pepper is aripoff Vons is 18 dollars.

So class doesn’t start until the 9th. I’ll be going again 1 more time today even though Im sick of their food. Can’t beat clam chowder on a Friday night.
It’s 10.07 cents. For lunch and dinner.

I built a really good rapport with the staff. Trying to get them to go to the games.

That Italian Restaurant that it became is a GREAT social spot. When we ate there there was a live band. I recommended that place to people in town.

Well I work at Wynn buffet and we have 2 hour time limit. Cesar's has 90 min as does the Cosmo. Back about 8 years ago we did not have 1 and a group of 7 people staid 7 hours plus . Breakfast,lunch and dinner. Plus they had the endless pour and they had the audacity to get upset that we asked them to leave..They paid for breakfast. That's about the same time we re enforced the time limit plus no more breakfast prices. Gouging prices going on now.

6 slices of board head cheese for that much..

Hahaha, we’re just like our parents who reminisced about the past.

Except, our money is FIAT money and not backed by gold.

Yeah, dirt cheap. I remember I had this portable tv/radio combo deal, had a black and white screen about 3” with a long ass antenna … we used to go there on the weekends, pig out and watch the NBA playoffs right after school let out for the summer.

Easily and cheaply entertained. And it was safe to walk through the park as a kid. I wouldn’t dream of that today.

No they didnt ,but yea most people tip 97% and they usually take care of me. ITs a 70-75 plus buffet so people usually are not penny pinching when they come in there.

I ate at buffets in college basically to try and get a well rounded meal every now and then but in the last probably 25 years I’ve ate at one, Wynn probably 12-15 years ago after going about 10 years without eating at one prior to that. I was tricked into believing Wynn was good. It wasn’t just as disgusting as any other buffet. I will never eat at another buffet.

Yeah, I ate at Golden Corral buffet off Lamb Blvd & Charleston yesterday.

18 bucks late evening Sunday and you get a juicy steak. I only stayed like 90 minutes. Their hot golden rolls are worth the price of admission. I had like 5 bags of cotton candy and walked out with them and everyone in line was cracking up.

Times are getting hard. On the bus ride home, this guy offered me was offering a Rottweiler pup to buy. Pass…


I’m usually filming myself and there’s this group of kids walking toward the Blvd mall. The biggest kid ( was talking to himself obviously high as a kite) and he’s holding hands with a 7 to 9 year old boy…

the boy yells at me “buy me a blunt at the weed store”

Years ago I was here ( flew in from another base) and I was at the Circus Circus buffet( a couple of years after it opened).

Me and My buddies were eating our food and here comes this guy running in backwards through the exit. He made a beeline to the buffet and grabbed a fork. He didn't use a dish and just ate right from the buffet as fast as he could. Fork in one hand and shoving handfuls of food in with the other. Probably was there for only five minutes before security grabbed him and carried him out. ( he was still eating a chicken leg he had grabbed)

Had to be the shortest stay at a buffet ever.

All you can eat crab legs at Hush Puppies..(Don't judge it was like year one of my wife and I being married and we had to pinch pennies for 'a nice night out') 🙂

Anyway went with two other couples. Wives were done about an hour or so in. My brother in law, myself and a buddy were just getting started..

After two hours waiter stopped bringing out individual plates of crab legs and started just loading up the serving tray.

About 4 hours in we got asked to leave.

I wish they had asked us three hours in, I might have avoided what I believe ended up being near iodine poisoning and me being parked on the toilet for a day and a half.

LOL. Disgusting? ,but we are full everyday. Usually a decent to big sized lined and people are paying 75 plus. Wynn buffet is the 2nd to 3rd most profitable restaurant at the Wynn .Maybe not just for u ,but disgusting is a huge stretch. I have not been to a buffet in years. Just not my cup of tea.

I forgot what day it use to be, but Sam's Town use to have a nice buffet with crawfish ...My Nanna an I use to spent hours there. We even bring our own dipping sauce. Screw the salad and crap.

Friday is always seafood night. That buffet was very good and was the cheapest seafood buffet in town.

Sam’s town is an absolute dump these days. I mean it’s always been but at least they were good for something. They had a 50’s diner bar in there.

Mary’s Diner was incredible. The shakes and the belly bomber burger was the best when I was growing up.

I’m very old school. Eureka Casino on Sahara Ave had great chicken Wings and Four Kegs (Southern Spicy Salt)on Jones/95 with the Cajun Fries..FTW.

Big Wongs on Spring Mtn has spicy salt chicken Wings with jalapeño’s.They got new owners so I’m not sure if it’s the same post Covid..

Bruh..met my cousin and his family at Embassy Suites off University Ave near UNLV.

Maybe an hour. That’s my new spot to eat for free. They don’t check ID.


I’m sitting behind the CSU bench and a family of 8 sits right behind. Hard for me to do my thannnnnnng when the family pulls up.
