I actually wanted him more than I wanted Odom. I'm surprised by his lack of success.
Odom was a home run hire, and it looks like this guy was a strikeout!
Herman was the hottest name when Texas hired him a few years back after going 22-4 at Houston in 2 seasons. He won at Texas but not enough. FAU is tough they lose a lot more than they win over the years and turn over their HC every couple of years. Lane Kiffin did win there 2 or his 3 years. Herman didn’t even make it through 2 seasons, I’m not sure exactly what they were expecting of him but he took over for Willie Taggert who was an absolute dumpster fire at Oregon and Florida State so after 3 seasons at FAU I doubt he left them in a good spot when Herman took over.
All 4 teams in FBS with the Owls mascot have fired their coaches this season....or something.
