OT: Old School Fan Support

UNLV recently loss old supporters in Basketball in Football.

We all know Gary Waddell, He reported in town for a very long time. The golden small Vegas years. He was at McNichols Arena when UNLV took the title.

Ted Lee who owned the Eureka Casino. He is one of the founding members of the Boyd Law School

Tom Saitta owned most of the Dodge and Chrysler dealerships in Las Vegas during the 80’s and 90’s huge UNLV Tarkanian Basketball fan. His motto was “ We want only to be the Best!”

Hae Un Lee the owner of Lee’s Discount also a big UNLV supporter. Seen him on a few games. I remember sitting in the same table with him during the opening of the Mendenhall Center. Funny Guy!

We joke around UNLV Athletics a lot but hopefully somehow someway UNLV can find a way to get back on track specially in Basketball and get the T and M rocking again.

Our fan base who supported us through the TArk years are slowly dying..

pretty soon, we’ll have zero support big money donors in both sports.

with Covid, expect older basketball fans to dwindle as well. They’ll just follow them on television or AM radio like the old days.

UNLV has made it impossible to want to follow them in sports.

oh, this was 30 years in the making.

UNLV administration finally won.
