I think it's a take that keeps you from seeing some really solid action movies (Prey, Atomic Blonde, Alien/s, Fury Road), but I'm not one of those people that judges you for liking what you like or that will try to convince you that you're missing out. I think there are some female lead action flicks that are super pandering, and those are a turn off for me as well. The media you consume should reflect your personal taste and tastes SHOULD differ.
I really didn't figure you for someone that would give the Umbrella Academy a fair shake when you're dismissing Prey, but I agree it was a pretty solid show. And while I enjoy Cobra Kai, it's kind of like I enjoy an occasional McDonald's breakfast. Not because it's actually good, but because it hits that 80s nostalgia nerve...it's clearly shot and written as a love letter to those 80s teen action movies and it hits all the right notes. I don't really consider the Breaking Bad/BCS as netflix shows since they were AMC, but Breaking Bad especially might be the best TV series of all time.
Squid Games is okay, I haven't watched the second season yet. Sandman was pretty solid, there's some really great parts to Vikings, though It's probably 3 seasons worth of good show spread over 5 seasons and really lags at the end. I also enjoyed Dark, Stranger Things, Peaky Blinders, The Queens Gambit, The Haunting at Hill House, and several others.
