Big 6'3" 300 NT/DL. Has okay bend, great at absorbing run blockers and strong on the point of attack. Hand use probably needs a ton of work--he doesn't deliver a blow and lets OL get inside hands on him too often on the hudl film I've seen. If you can get that hand use improved and maybe work a bit on his get off I think there's som raw talent here to work with. Was a 3rd place 6A Texas wrestler in 2023 and started on the 6A HS football champion at Coppell High School while being named first tream all district as a senior. I love wrestlers as DL guys, but I woulid have thought we'd see better hands with the wrestling history.

Looks like not too many offers out of high school and it looks like all FCS offers: Valpo, Northeastern, San Angelo State, and Butler. Originally committed to SAS but ended up at Navarro JC.

Depth piece with some upside.

Has some tools to work with.

Butler and Valpo have a FB team? Who knew.

If you told me he was an accomplished wrestler without knowing anything else I would probaly say his strengths were what you descibe as his weaknesses.

That's the part that blows my mind. But he's strong, well-proportioned, has pretty solid length, but I never see a ton of surge. And it makes me think that if you can connect the dots there with good coaching, you might be onto something with this kid. But he also might not be wired for it.

That's his hudl highlight tape. You'll see a lot of OL getting their hands easily inside on quite a few plays. But they can't always move him even so. Size and strength do pop on tape. I think if you can give him some technique, or a little more get off, or a little more onfield savvy he could be a rotational guy in lots of packages.

You can teach a DL “hand fighting” techniques and since the staff is pretty good, I expect they will develop this skill set for this guy!
