I really like the look of that! I could see a small red stardust decal in the back of the helmet (or just a small red cannon) for all the returning players that won the Cannon game. I mentioned that before, but I would love to see our seniors in a couple of years with three of those decals on the back of their helmets going into the senior season. - or maybe a simple red stripe.
I like the idea of red cannon stickers for winning the RENO game.
Would that HeyReb! show up on tv as well as the bigger one would? I'm not being a jerk asking that, I'm sincerely asking. I would assume that they may consider which would be more visible.+1 but, they should use the one on this helmet IMO!
I'm with you in that I like your version better but if they want to see HeyReb! it doesn't work as well.

Ditch the old dude and put Che on there. He was a rebel, wasn't he? Can't be confused with anyone from the confederacy, but he was from way south, wasn't he? None of the young kids know anything about him anyway... and he looks like a cool guy. Nobody will be offended except old dudes, and that will bring us full circle, right?

I'm all for a Hipster version of HeyReb! Maybe one in tight sagging jeans with a v-neck sweater on staring down at his cell all game.
No I want the 29 year old career student 'barista' from Starbucks wearing his Che Guevara t-shirt who exhales heavily in disgust when you ask for a large black coffee, because you interrupted he and his co-worker during their discussion of how 'the elite' suck and are ruining this country.
I want that guy to be our new mascot. If you are looking for an up to date look for our mascot that guy is pretty congruent with our times. Very rebellious.

I'm with you. Give him a Vape pen and a poloroid camera. He can even ride out of the tunnel on a beach cruiser.
Another look at the bigger HeyReb! I think it looks better from this POV.
Funny how much different it looks with a change of lighting. Those look really sharp, I especially like the detail of with the red tip on feather in his cap.
I adore this design. I do think they need to enclose Hey Reb's hat instead of using the helmet's color to replace it. But even if they don't. I love this idea. What if they did contrasting color on the diamond and made it Scarlet?
I love these but Army & Navy sporting some sweet helmets today.
Unless of course you were referring to just UNLV helmets. Then I totally agree...

As great as Navy's helmets were Army's Helmets would have gotten more run if people knew what the stripe down the middle actually represented. The stripe was formed with the words 'Queen of Battle Follow Me', which are lyrics to a cadence Hail Oh, Hail Oh Infantry.
For anybody not famaliar, I urge you to take the time to listen to or read the lyrics to the entire song/cadence. It really puts in perspective how much those kids in the Army/Navy and the rest of the armed services truly sacrifice. They serve and allow us the freedom to bitch and moan about 'injustices' in this country that many people in this world would be happy to have and can only dream about.

I m definitely biased. Army helmet with the different mos insignia looks great.
I like the new design concept, but I think it needs a chromed scarlet racing stripe running down the top. Imagine that stripe racing down the field as Xlex breaks away down the field.
