MWC Week 4

Well, we had BSU and SDSU where BSU snuck a victory and Mayden had his career best (probably).

We had Air Force run all over SJSU in a dominating day.

Reno (+17) is currently up 17-0 at Texas State.
CSU (+3.5) tied at Middle Tennessee St 10 all
Wyoming (-3) trailing 9-7 at home vs App State
UNM (+3.5) tried as hard as they could to lose to UMass (seriously, check the scoring summary) but penalties in the OT period gave em multiple first downs inside the 10. Lobos won 34-31
USU (+5.5) trailing 10-0 early at home vs President James Madison

Still to kickoff:
Fresno state (-27) hosts Kent state
Hawaii (-3) hosts NMSU

AND OF COURSE the main event

UNLV (-1) @ UTEP

Jaiden "Jet" Thomas is only a freshman? Holy cow, he is going to have a great career. 4 TD run...tied or broke the UNLV record? Should be be freshman/player of the week.

Read a little about him this morning. He put two over 1000 yard seasons in his last two years of high school in Ga. Rated a two star but looks just like the Oregon back who slashed the Buffalo's yesterday. At 180 or so lbs he looks heavier than his hs weight. The go go offense works well with the runner who can envision the lanes. His speed to the outside will catch a lot of coaches eyes. Kudo's to the staff for bringing him to Vegas. The biggest back is our qb, just like Tennessee, Alabama etc. Maiava can run too. Second half of last nights game was a harbinger of good progress for this staff. Our team has some big corners and safeties who are picking up the nuances. The blitzes worked except for the 50 yard screen play. Great game to build on for Hawaii next Saturday.

Yes, very similar to the Oregon back. I love a backs that understands the motion of their defender. Most of the night, he just shift and go against his defenders motion and he is gone. Speed kills, too.
Talk about Oregon, the announcers were saying that Oregon ran the Go Go offence several times and it confused the crap out off CU staff.
