MW invite

Let's just say Texas State fans not happy about this If it turns out to be true.

Imagine being in a conference where a school who been in the FBS like 12 years and like 4 winning seasons says. Hard pass.

Wait. Were in it. Nevermind.

Another thing we need to realize. We will not be able to outbid the PAC. There is no way our contracts will be that close. None. So if the PAC really wants a team and so do we, they will get them.
My guess is that the PAC is waiting on this lawsuit to see if a settlement comes through increasing their capital. They may take another swipe at a team like UTSA

Pac-2 couldn't swipe at their ass and hit it.

Would you be excited for road trips to Corvallis and Pullman? Apply the same G5 metrics as everyone else and those are not exactly travel destinations and easy to get to.

No argument. But be honest what conference is better on paper both basketball and football.

Throw all the TV contract limbo stuff aside.

You're a fan of some Sun Belt school what conference looks more like a promotion and what looks more like a lateral move?

Haven't been to Pullman, but IMO Corvallis is actually a cool little town. Not the easiest place to get to from a lot of locations, but Las Vegas has a few direct flights to Eugene, which is like 45 minutes away.

The question will be about timing. If the MWC offers, and UTSA (or whoever) is slightly down on the list for the PAC, will those schools wait around to see if the PAC first goes for Memphis, Tulane, etc, or make the jump to the MWC?

Well with millions they owe and millions now tied up in a lawsuit are we sure we can't outbid?

Pretty sure.

They do have potentially a lot more capital. Even if they pay every last cent that the MW is expecting.

I'm sure the PAC 2 are hesitant, and they have been. They want to keep as much leftover as they possibly can of subsidize the losses they will inevitably have with their next contract.

But the lawsuit could reduce the poaching fees, even if it is to settle so the MW do not have to pay lawyers. The exit fees can be negotiated down, and who knows how much the PAC is paying of those fees anyway.

But direct comparison in terms of Team value, there is no comparison. They have the teams that would lead to a much better contract. More importantly they don't have any detractors. Their worst right now is USU, which would be in the middle of our conference, actually near the top if they stayed.
