We used to look forward with great anticipation to media days. Now, I don't even think the media does. Tried to find info about it on the MW site, but didn't. That's such a user-hostile site anyway...I hate going there. Finally found something in the Casper Trib, probably only because one of their own is representing the Pokes:

"Each team will be represented by its head coach and two players. Each West Division team (Fresno State, Hawaii, San Jose State, San Diego State, UNLV, Nevada) will go on July 23 with the Mountain Division teams (Wyoming, Boise State, Utah State, Air Force, Colorado State, New Mexico) taking their turn the next day."

Go Rebels!

I believe both of the first two games are must win games for UNLV. Lose either of those two games, and I expect Coach Sanchez would go from being on a hot seat to being boiled alive!

Agreed. This is going to be a very interesting season to say the least...As a Rebel fan it is difficult for me to be optimistic....

I think he can finish with a winning season, but after the way last season went, with the exception of two of the last three games, I have no clue what will happen!

I'd add Wyoming to that mix as well.

I think he has to start 3-1....

I don't typically care about margin of victory or style points....

But for this SUU game, Rebs (Sanchez) need to come out and make a statement.

The SUU game should be pretty much over by halftime.

In truth the SUU game should be over by the middle of the first quarter if they play the way they should and can instead of play to the level of the team!

Agreed.

This is year 5. This is the type of game and the type of opponent that UNLV should be able to play vanilla on offense and defense, and just physically dominate.

I mentioned that SUU was picked to finish 12th in their conference because this scares the (beep) out of me. I won’t mention a certain team by name that we were supposed to smoke at home, and lost outright, but our history against “gimme’s” is terrible!
