Locals

Currently account for over 20% of our roster. (22 total locals)

Really looks like Sanchez, et al are looking to keep the local talent home.
This is a necessity. It should only become bigger once the new facilities and the stadium are done. Amazing how many local kids we lost in the last two recruiting classes with the delays in the facilities and the stadium. Some top notch talent left because they doubted that the new facilities and stadium would ever get done. Really can't blame them but it's more than obvious that, more than ever, we have to get 'er done.

My big question is when do they break ground on the new facility. It has been delayed for over a half year from when it originally appeared they would break ground. Is funding still a big problem? Will making a bowl game help get more donations?

With the university approval of the loan, I believe the plan was basically to start after the season ends. *We'll see*

Prepping has already begun. Official ground breaking is probably right after end of regular season. If they lose, the ground breaking will probably move up to keep people engaged
